The government has given a pre-Diwali gift to the common man of the country. In the 56th meeting of the GST Council held in New Delhi on Wednesday, several major decisions have been taken. Under this, the tax slab was reduced, which will reduce the tax rate on all goods. The new rates will be applicable from  22 September 2025. Under the new GST reform, prices of more than 100 items are going to be reduced. Tax rates have been reduced on  goods, everyday items,  agricultural products and health products.

 

At the same time,  tax has been increased on luxury vehicles, tobacco products, caffeinated beverages and even tickets for cricket matches.  Here's what has become cheaper and what has become expensive under   the new GST reform.
